It originated after an attempt to reform the the Catholic church and resulted in the birth of the protestant churches.  Theis branch off the forced the catholic church to then reform its own training and forms of discipline within its clerical department, and this also was a time in which the catholic church restated its theologies. During the 16-17 century there was also a grand number of missionaries who were inspired by the Matteo Ricci and as a result made an effort to understand and at times even be a part of the chinese culture in efforts to try and convert the elite people. While not having much success in converting members they did however manage to edicquetly record the court life and the Qing Government. China not only had a wave of people trying to convert them but they also had a man by the name of Wang Yangming. Who was a very successful philosopher during the 14 to 15 hundreds. During his time he argued that one did not need the extensive education of confucianism in order to live a virtuous life. Also during this time the development of Kaozheng occured. Ch.16
The North American revolution. The thing that set in motion the lifestyle not only we americans have but also inspired other people creating a ripple effect of a new world. The north american revolution first began after the british rulers began to unfairly tax the american people with taxes on stamps, sugar, and tea. Pushing america to fight for the independence which resulted in the creation of the declaration of independence then later on resulting in the abolitionist movement. The beginning in the abolishment of slavery. This win was what inspired the french people to revolt. Unlike the americans though, the french also had battles being fought within the imperial society because of this they had planned to start all over, building a new society from the ground up. Which resulted in the creation of the declaration of the rights of man and citizen. Which was basically the first document to issue the people basic human natural rights. With the lack of system in France the great Napoleon ran for justice, conquering the people which allowed him to take power. It was this movement that inspired the Haitian revolution to start. Slaves sa this as a personal freedom. This movement that was first inspired by the french was what let to the inability to recontopl the Haiti people.

Founders Week
During this Founders week I learned more about the start of the Sisters of Notre Dame that tthen leads to the start of the very school I attend and the many more like it.
The start commenced with the sister St. Julie Billiart who was actually born in Cuvilly Franee
At a young age she felt this pull and guidance to wanting to do good and always hard and
made known her love for god. At a young age julie was stunned after her family was attackd
by thieves, this traumatic event traumatized her to the point of paralysis. She was the paraled
for 22 years but that did not keep her from teaching others not just the word of good but alo
teaching others the basics one would learn in school. She then did her best to try to help tech
others, but that was not the only thing. Even though she was paralyzed that did not keep hr
from speaking out about the corruption that was present not just in her government but alsoin
her church. Because of her outspoken behavior that lead to her becoming a most wanted.
Eventually Pushing her to hide out places and training hidden in hay stacks. She eventually
crossed Francoise Bil de Bourdon’s path. Francoise was a wealthy noble lady who’s family
would give to the fortunate. Comeong from a good background like that she was allowed to
develop a strong relationship with god. During this time in France the revolution was at its k.
The people were revolting, they gelatined the king louis and queen Marie Antoinette. The
people were set to gelatin all the noble and upper class people, leading to the imprisonmenf
Franciose.A day before her scheduled Gelatin the revolution stopped and she was let go,
leading to her crossing paths with Julie. Resulting in a friendship that later turned into the

Chapter 15
In Chapter 15 we are exposed to several great and memorable people. People who made a difference in science, philosophy, and religion. Not only does it talk about  people in its time but also about different movements and revolutions. We will begin talking about Wahhabi Islam. During this time a movement broke out that promoted simplicity and strict commitment to the sharia law who coincidentally was run by a man named Abd Al-Wahhab. He was not the only religious person we learned about, we also get introduce to Martin Luther, the theology expert and German Priest who introduced a protestant reform. Like the protestants the catholics also had a reform during this time but there refrome was a bit different since it focused on education and one's responsibility. Coming out with a whole group who encouraged this renewal of catholicism that stated that education was almost as important as preaching, this group was known as the Society of Jesus. Also during this time the Catholics had a movement that was trying to spread to china known as the Jesuits of china where missionaries who took on chinese culture tried to convert the chinese. Not only were the Catholics trying out new reforms and also trying to spread to China, but they were also having a pissing contest with the Protestants which lasted from the 1618 to 1648 which completely emerged all of europe in the middle of this infamous debate which evidently ended with a peace treaty known as the peace of Westphalia. Not only were the catholics in war but they also were trying suppress ideas like the ones of Galileo Galilei. Galileo was an italian astronomer who had been inspired by copernicus and had furthered his ideas but was suppred. He was not the only one who corriled with the church, French philosopher also had his own bone to pick not only with the catholic church but all organized religions. His name was Francois Marie Arouet known as Voltaire. He worked is now seen as an inspiration for the enlightenment era where he questioned the customers and the values of the people by criticising organized religions.
